Please join us for the next bimonthly meeting of the SBA’s Biosafety and Infection Prevention Journal Club, where we will discuss enterococci in hospitals developing resistance to alcohol-based hand sanitizers. 

Who: Lisa Benford, the Biological Safety Program Manager at the University of Houston will be presenting the paper:

Registered or Certified Biosafety Professionals (RBPs or CBSPs, respectively) are welcome to attend and/or present at the journal club and are encouraged to seek Continuing Maintenance (CM) points from ABSA International for this event. RBPs or CBSPs attending the journal club are suggested to submit this event under Category 5 of the Acceptable Activities and Documentation section of the Credentialing Maintenance Program Guide as attendees of a biosafety-related educational course for 0.125 CM points per meeting attended. RBP or CBSP presenters are suggested to submit under Category 4 of the Program Guide as the presentation of a biosafety-related technical/scientific presentation before a professional audience for 1.0 CM points per presentation. Photocopies of the sign in sheet will be made available to those requesting it as documentation of their participation in the journal club. The topic of this presentation should correspond to NRCM Core Competencies: 16, 21, & 22.
